Air-Out Vacuum Cold Mounting System Performances
Air-Out consists of a vacuum container and a vacuum pump.
Ai-Out vacuum system is designed specifically for impregnation pores and cracks of the sample, and also used storing samples.
Vacuuming can remove air from the sample and resin, allowing the mounting compound to penetrate into the pores of the sample, supporting the structure of brittle and friable samples, improving edge retention, and facilitating subsequent grinding and polishing.
Edge-protected coatings, plating, and pores can be grinded and polished to reproduce their microstructure intact.

● Large vacuum chamber, special dome design, 13% more capacity than the conventional hemispherical dome, can be placed 12 30mm molds.
● Thick chamber wall, molded of all-clear polycarbonate, explosion-proof, can be kept at 740mm Hg (0.09MPa) for 24h after evacuation, temperature resistance 41℃.
● 3-way stopcock made of teflon, red plug to control the flow of air soothingly and gently, avoiding turbulence.
● O-ring made of neoprene, no vacuum grease is needed, room temperature down to 0 ℃ its elasticity and sealing performance is not affected.
● Perforated carrier plate, polypropylene, with 22 small 3.2mm holes for air easy flow and 2 19.4mm side holes for easy hold the carrier plate.
● Desiccant cartridge, bowl-shaped, placed at the bottom of the chamber.
● The vacuum chamber is all-clear, the whole mounting process is visible.
